Screen Resolution and Browser Width
The is web site is best viewed at a resolution of 800x600 or higher. The "control panel", located at the right-hand edge of the screen below the scrolling banner can help you optimise the screen layout for your screen resolution and browser.
If you view at this lowest resolution, we recommend that you click the "narrow" button, which restricts the size of the site to 800 pixels wide, and also try to keep the bulk of the site within the width of your browser.
For higher screen resolutions, you may prefer to use the "wide" setting, which will align everything to the left and make better use of your screen real estate.
You can control the size of the text by selecting one of the font size settings from the control panel, the default size is "Medium" but you may prefer a smaller or larger size depending on your screen resolution.
Most downloadable documents on this site are Adobe PDF. In order to view the Adobe PDF files, you will need a recent version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. You probably already have this installed, but if you don't, you can download Adobe Acrobat Reader for free. After acrobat is installed, you can view the documents just by clicking on them.
Audio files are provided as MP3s. To download these, you need to look for the icon like this one. PC users Right-click on the image (Mac users control-click), select "save target as" ("save linked file as" or "download link to disk" depending on your browser), then nominate a place to save the MP3.
Listening to Audio and Watching Video
Our website cotnains both streamed audio and video. In order to make the most of these, you need to have the Adobe Flash Player installed on your computer. If you have ever used YouTube before, then there's a good chance you already have the Flash Player installed. However, if you don't have it, you can download Adobe Flash Player for free.
For audio and video media, we offer an easy-to-use playback control. Click the arrow to commence playback. The scroll bar will allow you to move forward and backwards through the item.
Please be aware that the streaming process is dependant on your connection speed; those with slower connections are more likely to experience occasional pauses during playback.
